About
I'm a junior at Canyon Crest Academy that is passionate about art and learning.
Photoshop Projects
In our first project, our goal was to evoke the idea of being active, passive, and mysterious in three separate black and white shape compositions. I made an extra active one. It was definitely a challenge to draw an emotion from shapes.
Our second project aimed to introduce us to some new tools and tricks in Photoshop. We had to fix a broken fence with the clone stamp tool and then add a new fantastical element to it as well.
One of the coolest project so far: the animal hybrid. We were tasked with editing an animal hybrid from three different animals using masking and clone stamp tools. I made a porcupine hedgehog bunny hybrid and a peacock swan antelope hybrid and a peacock, antelope, swan combo. For fun, I also made a flying pig which was my own twist on Pink Floyd's Animals album cover.
We learned the versatility of displacement maps and put them to use in our fourth assignment. We were tasked with putting a pattern on a product. I choose to use a pair of shoes, a teacup, and a shirt. I made all of the patterns myself as well.
Our next technique, was to make an image look like a pencil drawing by using a variety of filters. The pictures I used are from Gratisography and pexel free photos.
Now that we have learned multiple Photoshop techniques, we are assigned a portrait project where we can use the skills we have learned as well as new effects. In groups of four, we interviewed each other to create an accurate portrait reflecting the subjects personality.

ILlustrator Projects
Our first introduction to illustrator is made through making landscapes using vector shapes. We used new techniques of layers and gradients to create landscape images.
The second illustrator project was based around learning color theory. We practiced different color theory combinations by making mandalas using the rotate tool and shapes.
Using the skills we have learned with shapes and colors in illustrator, we were tasked with creating a logo for a "client". In this case, our client was another student in the class. We made 10-12 initial sketches on paper and 4 logo compositions. Each day we would receive feedback and advice from the client for revisions to the logo.
To further test our imaging skills we were tasked with making a movie poster. I choose to do the new Blade Runner movie and vectorized Ryan Gosling using the pen tool. The colors are a bit off due to the transition between programs, but I think it turned out pretty cool. I also made a Doctor Strange poster as well.
Next we made vector portraits. I used the same method to vectorize like the Blade Runner poster. I used a picture of my sister and traced an outline and the basic shadows. Then I attached drips to the shadow shapes and used the pen tool to make lines for the hair. I add a texture to the background in Photoshop to add more depth.
In our second to last project we teamed up with CCA bands to create original art for their CD covers. I used a mix of Illustrator and Photoshop to create my digipack for the "Thoughtly Crue"
I made a poster for the school's Parents night which is focusing on student wellness. I tried to make a more simple design with a limited color palette.
